Graduate Teaching Assistantships Available

DEGREE: Master of Music in Pedagogy and Performance with a Conducting track or an Applied Music track.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Percussion Graduate Assistants will be assigned duties as needed by the department which may include:

In addition, Graduate Assistants must be registered for a minimum of six graduate credit hours per semester.

STIPEND: Up to $6,300 per academic year, and out of state tuition remission. Oklahoma in state tuition waivers are available by application.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Music and admission to the Graduate College. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Campus interview with prospective candidates will be arranged when possible.

DEADLINE: Applicants must audition/interview on campus if possible. Admission to the Graduate College is required for consideration. Applications will be reviewed on a continuing basis until positions are filled. Early application is encouraged.

OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY: The University, with approximately 20,000 students at its main campus in Stillwater, is located approximately 65 miles from Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The Music Department has twenty full-time and nine part-time faculty members and is accredited by the NASM. In addition to the Master of Music in Pedagogy and Performance, the Department offers the degrees of Bachelor of Music (with options in music education, performance, or business) and Bachelor of Arts.
